Maritime IT consultancy

Enterprise-gradeIT for superyachts.

Most yacht IT stops at basic networking. We bring the engineering discipline of a corporate headquarters aboard: certificate-based identity, segmented networks, hardened security and resilient connectivity, all designed and built for life at sea.

The difference

Yachts deserve the same engineering as the boardroom.

A superyacht carries the same risks as a small enterprise: high-value transactions, confidential guests, business-critical communications. Yet it is too often run on consumer-grade kit.

We close that gap. Every network we touch is architected the way a serious organisation builds its own: identity you can prove, traffic you can contain, connectivity that fails over gracefully, and a security posture that holds up when it matters.

01

Identity, not just passwords

Certificate-based EAP-TLS authentication so only known devices ever join the network, the same model that protects corporate headquarters.

02

Segmentation that contains threats

Guest, crew, navigation and IoT each live on their own VLAN. A compromise in one place cannot reach the bridge or the owner's data.

03

Privacy by architecture

Owner and guest data is isolated and hardened by design: discretion engineered into the network, not bolted on afterwards.

Why enterprise-grade matters at sea

A yacht is a high-value target on an unreliable link. Build it accordingly.

Owners, guests and management companies move sensitive information and significant sums aboard. The threats are real; the connectivity is hostile. Consumer gear was never designed for either.

The threat is financial and personal

Business email compromise, phishing and data theft follow high-net-worth individuals onto the water. A flat network with a shared password is an open door.

Connectivity at sea is hostile

Links drop, satellites hand over, ports change. Without failover, an outage becomes a guest-facing incident at the worst possible moment.

Privacy is an architecture choice

Real discretion comes from segmentation and isolation designed in from the start, not from a password taped inside a cabinet.

How we work with yachts

Absolute discretion

Owner privacy comes first. We are comfortable working under NDA and treat every vessel and guest as confidential.

Scheduled around your season

Installation and upgrades are planned around charters and guest trips, so work never collides with time aboard.

On-site when needed

We resolve what we can remotely and come aboard in Palma when a job genuinely needs hands on the hardware.

Built for the marine environment

We understand salt, vibration, power and the limits of connectivity at sea, and we design for them.

How we work

A clear path from survey to support.

Four steps that take a yacht from an unknown network to a resilient, well-run platform, with minimal disruption along the way.

  1. 01

    Assess

We survey the vessel and audit the existing network, connectivity and security posture, and take the time to understand owner and crew needs.

  2. 02

    Design

A segmented, resilient architecture tailored to the yacht and its charter or cruising profile, documented and built to scale.

  3. 03

    Deploy

Clean installation and configuration, scheduled around the yacht's calendar to keep disruption to an absolute minimum.

  4. 04

    Support

Ongoing maintenance and support after handover, resolved remotely where possible and on-site in Palma when a visit is needed.

Flagship reference

A complete superyacht IT stack, built from the ground up.

As primary technical lead for a privately owned sailing yacht, we designed and built the entire onboard platform: the kind of identity-secured, segmented network you would expect in a corporate headquarters, engineered for life at sea.

  • Segmented VLAN architecture across guest, crew, navigation and IoT
  • Full UniFi ecosystem with deck and mast WiFi coverage
  • Certificate-based EAP-TLS WiFi via an on-board RADIUS / AD stack
  • Starlink with automatic failover and Microsoft 365 email security

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers on how superyacht IT support actually works with us.

Do you need to come aboard, or can you work remotely?

Both. The initial survey and any physical installation are done on-site in Palma de Mallorca. Beyond that, many issues can be handled remotely, and we come aboard whenever a job genuinely needs hands on the hardware.

Which yachts and sizes do you work with?

We work with superyachts and sailing yachts whose owners and crew expect corporate-grade reliability and privacy. The engineering scales from a focused upgrade on a smaller vessel to a full-stack build on a large yacht. If a yacht carries valuable data, demands strong WiFi, or relies on uninterrupted connectivity, it is a fit.

Can you take over and improve an existing system instead of a full rebuild?

Yes. Many engagements begin with an audit of an existing network, then a phased plan to segment, secure and stabilise it without ripping everything out. We will tell you honestly what is worth keeping and what should be replaced, and we can take over support of a system we did not originally build.

How do you protect owner privacy and sensitive data?

Privacy is engineered in: segmented VLANs isolate owner, guest, crew and navigation traffic; identity is certificate-based rather than a shared password; and the network is hardened against intrusion. We are comfortable working under NDA and treat every vessel, owner and guest as strictly confidential.

Do you offer ongoing support?

Yes. Beyond the initial build we remain available for maintenance and support, handled remotely where possible and on-site in Palma when a visit is needed. You get a team that knows your yacht and is there when something matters.

What areas do you cover?

Palma de Mallorca is where we work on-site with yachts. We come aboard when a job needs it, and can help remotely where the situation allows.

Can you work around our charter schedule?

Always. Installations and upgrades are planned around charters and guest trips so the work never disrupts time aboard. Where possible we stage and pre-configure equipment in advance to keep any on-board window short.

What is Starlink failover and why does my yacht need it?

Starlink delivers fast, low-latency internet at sea, but no single link is immune to outages, hand-overs or coverage gaps. Failover combines Starlink with cellular (4G/5G) and, where fitted, VSAT, automatically switching between them so the connection stays up. For guests on a call or a captain pulling charts, that unbroken continuity is the difference between a non-event and a complaint.
